Caring Hand Bags
Caring Hand Bags Project
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SUTTER TRACY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
Working with Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, our program called the "Caring Hands" bag project got underway in 2013. Bags with necessity items such as Starbucks and gas gift cards, snacks, toiletry kits, homemade blankets, etc. are put together and delivered to the Hospital staff who then give the tote bags to families with children who need to be transferred to a specialty hospital or families who may be in financial need when they are discharged. This project shows that the community of Tracy cares at a crucial time when emotional care is most needed. An estimated 170 bags have been given to families from our local Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
